Shantigram
Shantigram, at Mandavar in Haryana, is a community-oriented project, aimed at the total development of different communities of the 10 adjoining villages. Spread over an area of 23 acres it aims for the development of the community through various programs in the following areas:
Education: A new School named “Vidya Nikethan” was started to give value based education to the students of the nearby villages.and a different awareness program, including education for the Senior citzens of the villages.
Health & Hygiene: The Clinic at Shantigram gives free medical treatment to the poor people of the villages along with counselling, awareness camps and classes in Hygiene and Nutrition.
Training centre for Women: This centre aims at the total upliftment of the marginalized women in the surrounding villages and gives training in sewing and cottage industries.
